BioMedIT manages data in order to deliver services to research teams in Switzerland. This includes the delivery of this website (by the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics), but also the delivery of the BioMed IT portal and related services. For the BioMedIT portal  this includes BioMedIT nodes (at major universities) and the BioMedIT central team (at the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics). 

In both of these situations, we must protect the privacy of users and process any personal data collected in compliance with applicable law.
